WELCOME TO NSCAI NSCAI is a new exciting not-for-profit coaching development initiative. It aims to focus on sharing grassroots soccer resources between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. NSCAI is a cross-border organisation borne out of the "Watering the Grassroots" Coaching Conference. The event was jointly hosted by the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) and the Irish Football Association (IFA) at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk in late January 2008. This unique historic conference event was Ireland's first meeting of minds by the two football associations. Over 400 coaches from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland came together for the first time in the island's soccer history. What NSCAI aims to achieve as a cross-border coaching development organisation is to build on the success of the ideas both formally and informally suggested at the Coaching Conference 2008. The organisation aims to face the future with a portfolio of cooperative plans and schemes designed to meet the challenges of football coaching development in the 21st century. NSCAI will be more than a think tank of soccer foresight and vision. It will be adequately resourced to offer an exciting programme of innovative projects as well as activities and support services to assist coaches and young players all across the land. It will include networking and knowledge sharing online opportunities, jointly coordinated coaching and player development action plans which will be targeted at the street alleys of communities as well as inter-association coaching and tournament activities. The NSCAI programmes will offer tremendous benefits to young players of both genders and all abilities in communities across the island of Ireland. Contact: info@nscai.com |
